An interview with Kristen Soares, the State Climate Policy Network Manager at Climate XChange. She is a UCLA graduate with a degree in environmental science and public affairs and brings a background in climate equity and environmental justice, including analyzing climate policy at the state and local level in California. She is an impassioned environmental and social advocate and understands that the solution to the climate crisis requires “a creative brain, a balance of empathy and rationality, and above all, connecting with and uplifting the voices at the frontlines.”
Climate XChange recently relaunched their State Climate Policy Dashboard, which compiles all state-level climate policy information and resources to enable data-driven decision-making in one place. This is a great resource for advocates that highlights opportunities to push forward ambitious climate policy across all states.
