She is an ambassador at the Rainforest Alliance and has spoken at the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, and the Clinton Global Initiative. She helped spearhead legislation to regulate fashion’s environmental impact in California and New York. Maxine is the author of Unraveled: The Life and Death of a Garment, which was longlisted for the Financial Times Business Book of the Year Award in 2021.
