With our upcoming International Employee Climate Action Day we want to support, to create tailwind, for employees to take action at work. Our pathway is cooperation, dialogue, courage and imagination to jointly build a world where everyone has enough, on a stable planet.
An interview with Tim Riedel, Founder and Managing Director of planetgroups, Co-Founder of the Green Teams Netzwerk in Germany, and a leader within the new Employee Climate Action Network (ECAN).
After a 20 year career with his own company in HR Development and Talent Acquisition, Tim decided to dedicate his further career to Climate Action and Sustainability in April 2020. He did so by founding his current company planetgroups. Planetgroups is a profit-for-purpose consultancy supporting Employee Green Teams and Sustainability Ambassador Programs in companies through a guided process with a recurring routine of workshops, his Climate Business Challenge, and process facilitation. Planetgroups also acts as one of three founding pillars of the German Green Teams Netzwerk and it plays an active role in the International Employee Climate Action Network. Tim is also leading a new initiative launching this September: the first International Employee Climate Action Day, which will be on September 29th, 2026.
