Depending on companies to do the moral thing or on voluntary industry initiatives has not worked. Assumptions that more renewable energy will displace fossil fuels or that more corporate climate reporting will deliver action have not borne out.

More recently, she has worked with a wider range of societal actors in their efforts to drive collective climate action, particularly in navigating corporate engagement on climate issues and challenging industry inaction and “greenwashing.” She is also a frequent speaker and media contributor on climate action.
