ClimateVoices Featuring Nalleli Cobo

ClimateVoices · Episode 23 · 03-27-23

Special Earth Day 2023 Leading Activist Voices Series! The first in a series of special ClimateVoices interviews to mark the run up to Earth Day this year.

An interview with the dynamic Los Angeles environmental activist Nalleli Cobo. At age 19, Nalleli led a coalition to permanently shut down a toxic oil drilling site that was causing serious health issues in her community – and got the local government to take action. She’s a 2022 Goldman Environmental Prize Winner, and was also named to TIME’s 100Next list of new leaders in 2022.

Keep up with ClimateVoices – now an online Q&A penned by leading climate thinkers and doers. Follow Bill Weihl on LinkedIn to be alerted when additional interviews are published monthly.
