Climate Action Retreat

Green Skills in the Green Hills

Overview

Green Skills in the Green Hills

Join ClimateVoice in New York's stunning Hudson Valley on June 24 - 26 to explore influence as a transformative green skill. This invitation-only event will be an opportunity to sharpen your influence skills, forge deep cross-company bonds, and take bold climate action with like-minded colleagues. Together employees will learn how to pinpoint sources of influence in their workplaces, engage allies across functions, and craft a roadmap to mobilize colleagues on climate policy in 2026 and beyond.

The retreat kicks off with a welcome dinner and keynote on Wednesday night. Thursday delivers a full day of immersive programming, while Friday features a half-day collective action session. All lodging and meals are included, and Saturday departures are available. Attendees are responsible for their own travel to and from the Pocantico Center in Tarrytown, New York.

Learning Objectives

Systems thinking, coalition building, and collective action.

The heart of this retreat is the power of influence as a transformative green skill. Drawing on the Center for Creative Leadership’s vision, influence here means the ability to move people to sway opinions and inspire action, without relying on titles or formal authority.

In contrast to formal authority, which is based on hierarchical relationships, influence moves in multiple directions inside corporations.
